Middle School & High School Benchmark Assessments (SGO - SLO) :
For better or worse, high stakes testing has become the new norm in the American School System, even in art. These are benchmark exams designed by the author of our best selling book, Art Assessments, and The Art Student's Workbook. These are 5 performance based assessments with an alternate provided for the final assessment, often the one tied to annual reviews. These are the kind New Jersey is using, but with a little alteration, may be helpful examples for building your own benchmarks/assessments. Rubrics, and exemplars have been included as well. To save bandwidth, these are black and white examples.
We have added these here as an update to our book, Art Assessments. It will be added into the 2015 edition of the book when all 5 benchmarks have been administered, to be sure any alterations that may be necessary have been included.
We have TONS more assessments in our book, Art Assessments.
