This book was originally titled, "The Art Student's Workbook." A simplified version of this book is the "Elementary Art Workbook" and beefed it up to create the "Advanced Art Workbook." This workbook includes enough "content" for 3 years in the typical art classroom. Though marketed to a high school population, it could be used for grades 6 and up. Because this is the root of our workbook series, much of the key information here appears in the other workbooks as well, since basic vocabulary and introductions are similar across grade levels. How you differentiate will be determined by your own population. There are differences, but significant similarities as well. This is a re-worked version of "The Art Student's Workbook" so much of the vocabulary and support information (facial proportions, etc) will be the same. What is different is that there are many more schools of art included here, more detailed project ideas organized by historical theme, and worksheets for students to explore independently, yet still be held accountable through documentation. This book is designed for students who have had 2 years of art before and are ready to be more independent but not quite ready for an AP course.
