NEW 2025 (With limited time $ale)
Art Elements & Principles Curriculum Companion A Differentiated Yearlong Guide For Art Educators This book was created in response to teachers seeking a year-long planning guide, organized by elements and principles, to meet curriculum needs. It is a compilation of more than 50 2D and 3D lessons from my other books and resources including, 50 K-12 Art Lessons, 51 K-12 Art Lessons, and lessons from my blog www.artedguru.com. If you already own those, this volume may not be helpful. I have also included many short links to video resources and rubrics you may use with your students to make lesson planning more fun! This is enough for more than a year’s worth of elementary lessons, and likely 2 to 3 years of high school lessons. The target demographic here is your “average” student who is required to take art. This is NOT suitable for an advanced AP class. Each lesson is differentiated for lower elementary through high school. If you teach middle school for example, you could give a more advanced student the motivation to try the high school version of the same lesson, and conversely, a special needs student, the elementary or lower elementary version of the same project to meet their specific needs and abilities. Having “special needs” students use different media and do a different lesson can be harmful and alienate them from their peers. It should be only done for safety reasons, ei the rest of the class is using razor blades or something the students cannot use based on their 504/IEP plan. Your purchase allows you the rights to make copies for YOUR STUDENTS. If copies are needed for other teachers, they need to purchase their own copy. Your purchase does not give you the rights to post any of these pages, electronically or otherwise on publicly accessible venues. When you buy direct, you get 30% off the Amazon Retail price of $48.38 for a LIMITED time.

This second companion volume includes:
These 52 lessons are not as strictly organized by art elements and principles as in the first volume, which is why they were initially excluded. These explorations feature significant crossover, addressing multiple elements and even principles, making them rich additions to your curriculum. Each is labeled so you can easily pair them with your lesson plans. This collection is ideal for your “average” art student and is not intended for AP-level classes. Like the first volume, lessons are differentiated for lower elementary through high school. If you teach middle school, for example, you might offer a more advanced student the high school version of a lesson, while providing an elementary adaptation for a student with special needs—without singling them out or isolating them from peers. Media or method changes for safety reasons (e.g., tools not permitted under a 504/IEP) are the only recommended exceptions. As before, your purchase allows you to make copies for your own students. If other teachers wish to use this resource, they must purchase their own copy. When you buy direct, you get 30% off the Amazon Retail price of $48.38 for a LIMITED time. |

Review: "The Art books created by Eric Gibbons have proven to be invaluable to me. I have purchased several including: Artistry (Dynamic Activities to Develop Artistic Thinking and Appreciation); Sub Plans for Art Teachers; The Art Student's Workbook (both Teacher and Student editions); and Art Assessments. I'd be lost without them. I have also used lessons posted on his website (www.artedguru.com) that were created for distance learning.
Thanks Eric for the great resources." ~ Karen Nelsen: Art Teacher - Ash Fork Joint Unified School District"
